Can my child go back to mainstream school after spending some time at Khanyisa School?
The Khanyisa School programme does not promise any quick fixes to your child’s learning challenges. Each learner is an individual allowed to progress at their unique pace and level without the massive demands of a mainstream class. For this reason, children often make great strides in their learning as their needs are being met. This does not necessarily mean that the child will be able to now suddenly cope in the mainstream. Often a learning difficulty, although it can be overcome in various ways, will remain with an individual for life. The answer is to provide the correct remedy or formula unique to that individual. Special needs schools manage these learning difficulties through their specialist programmes. Mainstream education does not necessarily provide this specific formula.
