The Rhythm of the School day
The school day begins with a lively few minutes of movement activities, which enhance focus, concentration, awareness as well as gross and fine motor co-ordination. This is followed by a main lesson, which concentrates, on one subject at a time for a period of 3-4 weeks. This uninterrupted focus on a theme or subject enables the children to immerse themselves completely in the subject matter. After a break, the day is spent doing extra lessons involving, mathematics, reading, language study and other academic subjects. Practical and artistic subjects form part of the second half of the day’s rhythm.
